SIDs & STARs

Standard Instrument Departures (SIDs) and Standard Terminal Arrival Routes (STARs) are published procedures that provide standardized routing for aircraft departures and arrivals. Every flyable aircraft in Panther Den has these procedures pre-loaded and accessible via the in-cockpit kneeboard and mission data to support navigation, reduce radio congestion, and improve overall traffic flow realism. We make a best-effort commitment to keep these procedures up to date by rotating in the latest available publications from sources such as Jeppesen navigation charts (a Boeing company).

If a pilot notices a missing or outdated procedure for a theatre, they are encouraged to submit a feature request ticket so it can be reviewed and added where appropriate. Use of SIDs and STARs is optional during normal server operations, but becomes mandatory during organized events with human ATC or GCI controllers unless otherwise directed. This material is provided strictly for simulation and entertainment purposes only and is not valid for real-world flight operations.

Here is an example of a SID for Banak/Lakselv Airport in Norway on the Kola Peninsula terrain:
