Enforcement, Infractions & Penalties

Clear, concise and plain radio communication is one of the most important aspects of flying on Panther Den. Failure to communicate around an airfield degrades situational awareness for every pilot operating nearby, increasing the risk of runway incursions, traffic conflicts, and mid-air collisions.

Good SRS and radio etiquette create a safer, more realistic environment and improve everyone’s experience on Panther Den. To ensure these standards are followed, CTAF compliance is automatically monitored and enforced by the server.

Pilots who repeatedly fail to make required calls will progress through our enforcement system, receive in-game penalties, and may ultimately face administrative action from server staff & moderators if the behavior continues.

CTAF (Common Traffic Advisory Frequency) calls happen on 122.900 MHz (check comms card for presets) and are mandatory for all fixed-wing aircraft. Every fixed-wing pilot is required to make appropriate position reports during taxi, takeoff, landing, and while operating in the traffic pattern.

10 Enforcement Events are issued before formal infractions begin:

  • Events 1-2: Friendly reminders to monitor and transmit on CTAF 122.900.
  • Events 3-4: Warnings for missed CTAF calls and failure to maintain proper communication flow.
  • Events 5-6: Unsafe communication procedures are identified as a safety concern for other pilots.
  • Events 7-8: Repeated failures to report position before takeoff and landing are placing other aircraft at risk.
  • Events 9-10: Final warnings are issued as a documented pattern of non-compliance develops.

After 10 Enforcement Events, every subsequent CTAF violation results in:

  • -100 XP per survived sortie
  • XP deduction displayed in your Landing Summary

Continued violations will result in escalating administrative action, including warnings, disciplinary measures, and removal from the server if necessary.

These procedures are mandatory for all fixed-wing pilots and exist to maintain safe airfield operations, realistic communications, and the overall integrity of Panther Den.

Panther Den uses a cumulative penalty points system to enforce rules related to friendly fire against BLUFOR AI and BLUFOR players. Any unauthorized engagement resulting in damage or destruction of friendly forces generates penalty points added to a player’s total enforcement score.

The system operates in ranges, meaning once a threshold is reached, that punishment tier applies to all subsequent penalty events until the player moves beyond that bracket. This ensures consistent enforcement across repeat violations.

  • 1+ Points: Warning per penalty point issued (including minor friendly fire incidents).
  • 50+ Points: Player moved to spectators for each additional offense (BLUFOR friendly fire).
  • 100+ Points: Player kicked from server per offense involving BLUFOR assets.
  • 150+ Points: 1-day temporary ban for continued friendly fire violations.
  • 300+ Points: 3-day temporary ban for repeated or severe BLUFOR engagement violations.

Once a player enters a threshold bracket, that enforcement level remains active for all subsequent penalties until the total score exceeds the range. Example: above 50 points, every additional friendly fire incident results in spectator placement.

This system enforces escalation from warning → spectate → kick → temporary ban for BLUFOR AI and player friendly fire violations.
